Each ocean-view villa is equipped with its own private hot spring bath, featuring two different types of natural spring water.
During the summer season, guests can also relax in the private pool located in the center of the villa’s private garden.
At Auberge Villa SOSO, spend an unforgettable moment of bliss in refined comfort.
MEAL
Watch a top-class chef prepare your meal right before your eyes.
At SOSO, we serve Western-style cuisine crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients.
Our seafood is freshly sourced from local fishing ports, while meats include premium Japanese beef,
local chicken, and domestic pork. Vegetables are organically grown in our own pesticide-free garden.
Using only the best seasonal ingredients, our master chefs create exquisite dishes right in front of you.
In winter, guests can savor the rare and highly prized “Taiza Crab.”
SEASONAL INGREDIENT
A vibrant selection of fresh, seasonal delights from each of the four seasons.

GASTRONOMY
The Amanohashidate area of Kyoto has long been known as a land of exquisite cuisine.
At Hoshine, three large tanks receive a constant supply of fresh seafood from twelve different fishing ports.
In addition, 32 greenhouse farms cultivate around 40 varieties of pesticide-free vegetables year-round.
Here, in this treasure trove of food, each encounter with seasonal delicacies is a once-in-a-lifetime experience—
a moment of pure bliss and heartfelt admiration.
ROOM
Our rooms at SOSO feature two types of natural hot springs, a private pool, and even an ocean-view private dining area where you can enjoy exclusive in-room chef service.
Each villa is completely private and reserved for one group per stay, making it a safe and relaxing choice even for families with small children.
Savor fine cuisine, soak in soothing hot springs, swim in your private pool, and take in the serene ocean views—all without leaving your villa.
Spend a luxurious moment with your loved ones in total privacy.
BLESSING OF NATURE
Harnessing the Blessings of Kyoto Amanohashidate’s Natural Abundance
At SOSO, we believe that building deep relationships with local producers—those who cultivate ingredients recognized for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship—is essential to unlocking each ingredient’s full potential.
By understanding the story and background of every ingredient, our chefs carefully choose the most suitable cooking methods and techniques to bring out their natural character and flavor.
The Kyoto Amanohashidate area, where our auberge is located, is blessed with a wealth of highly acclaimed agricultural and marine products from across Japan. Making full use of these gifts of nature in our cuisine is one of the defining commitments of our culinary philosophy.
SPA
Two Rare Types of Private Hot Springs
Each villa features two rare natural hot springs—Golden Hot Spring and Silver Hot Spring—both available right in your room.
As the two springs are adjacent, guests can enjoy alternating between them and experience both types at the same time.
GARDEN/POOL
The private garden features an exclusive pool available during the summer season.
Embedded underwater lighting illuminates the pool, creating a beautiful, glowing water surface that shimmers like an illuminated basin at night.
We also offer stay-only and self-catering plans that take advantage of the villa’s private layout, allowing guests to bring in their own meals and enjoy a more flexible stay.
